Susan L. Curtis Foundation Receives Grant from Bank of America - August, 2009
August, 2009: We are very pleased to announce that Bank of America has provided the Susan L. Curtis Foundation with a generous grant that enabled 20 Maine children to attend Camp Susan Curtis in 2009.
This is the second year of a program which follows the 20 children as they advance through Susan Curtis programs over the years. Bringing children back year after year reinforces postive lessons from previous summers and is one of the central reasons for the successful outcomes of Susan Curtis programs.
Through its support of nonprofit groups to help build stronger communities, and with more than 35 banking centers throughout the state, Bank of America has a long history of promoting the quality of life in Maine.
We are proud to continue working in concert with Bank of America to help Maine children achieve their potential. Each summer, Camp Susan Curtis hosts more than 500 Maine children at its tuition-free outdoor education center on Trout Lake in Stoneham, Maine.
With this gift to help Maine children attend Camp Susan Curtis today, Bank of America is helping create Maine’s leaders for tomorrow!
